Research Assistant in Neurobiology
Medical Research Council, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge
The Laboratory of Molecular Biology is an internationally renowned centre for fundamental biomedical research and is located on the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site in Cambridge.
Applications are invited for a research assistant position in the group of Dr Anne Bertolotti to work on the abnormal protein deposits that characterise common neurodegenerative diseases, including Huntington’s, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Candidates should have a degree in Biochemistry or Cell Biology or a related field, and experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology as well as an interest in the field of protein misfolding in neurodegenerative diseases. Experience in fluorescent microscopic techniques would be an advantage. The Laboratory of Molecular Biology provides a thriving environment for research in neuroscience and has state-of-the-art equipment.
